Woman Battling Cancer Leaves Note For Giant Skeleton Owner. He Surprised Her With This

September 11, 2024

Halloween enthusiasts with 12-foot skeletons often go all out, creating spooky and fun displays that grab attention.

But in one heartwarming case, the decorations became a source of unexpected comfort for a woman named Tammy, who was undergoing cancer treatments.

Every day for 19 days, Tammy drove by a home with an ever-changing skeleton display on her way to and from her treatments. In a letter to the homeowner, she shared that seeing the new additions to the “bone family” became the highlight of her journey. Whether it was a skeleton doing something funny or a new character joining the group, the setup brought her moments of light during a difficult time.

The note read:

"I have been driving past your house daily for the past 19 days on my way to radiation treatments. A highlight of my journey has been checking to see who else had joined the bone family and what they are up to.

Thankfully, Wed. Sept. 11 is my final radiation treatment, though I may need to continue to drive by once in a while to see what's new.

Thanks for the diversion,
Tammy"

In an incredible act of kindness, the homeowner decided to make Tammy's last day of treatment extra special.

When Tammy drove by, she saw the entire skeleton crew holding signs with her name and messages of support like "You did great!" and "Way to go Tammy!"

This feel good story is a beautiful reminder that kindness comes in many forms, and sometimes the simplest acts—like decorating a yard with skeletons—can brighten someone’s day. It’s what humanity is all about.
